A downloadable game for Windows and Android

What is this game?

An auto battler game that I've been developing in Unity because I felt that there was a gap in the types of auto battlers available at the time.

This one's a deck builder version of the auto battler. Your characters and items will be shuffled together into a deck and are then dealt to the battlefield to fight your opponents. Continue fighting and defeat the other 7 AI players to become the winner.

Development

The game has been reworked with a neutral IP and a lot more features. The game has been released on Android so make sure to check it out on Google Play. If you don't have an Android phone, you will need to wait for the remaster which is coming to Steam next year but the demo is available right now. (Links down below)

In the meanwhile, consider this version the free to play teaser of the final game event though it's quite old at this point. The extended Android version have a lot more features and are better balanced but you will get the idea of what the game is all about by trying the prototype version.

If you end up playing the game leave a comment with your coolest win or most awesome team composition. I would love to see what crazy teams you come up with.

How to play:

Each round you will get money you can use to buy characters. Then you can assemble a team of your characters the size of your level. Here is what you should think about:

  • Expensive characters are stronger than cheaper ones if they haven't combined.
  • Buy 3 copies of the same character and they combine into a much stronger version.
  • Have different characters of the same type to make those characters stronger.
  • You can sell characters for the same price you bought them. Try them out!

Once you have gathered your team it's time for the fight. Since this is an auto battler, your characters will fight on their own and all you can do is to watch you team fight it out. The losing player will take damage depending on the size of the loss. If a play loses all their lives they are out of the game.

Then the players alive will continue to the next round until there is only a single player still alive which is the winner.

2 years on and I still have this game on my phone. I have installed and deleted many others in that time, but this game is always my go-to game when I have a few minutes to play something.

I imagine that this project is well and truly dead, but if it is ever returned to, there is one thing that I would love to see: A game mode where losing only makes you lose 1 HP. This way I would be able to see the green version of ever character. Maybe there is even a level after that.

Wow. That is really cool to hear! I'm glad that you're enjoying the game that much :)

Yeah, this version of the game is pretty much done at this point. I have gone on to first make a fully realised version of this game in Tournament of the Elements. And I'm currently making a completely new game on the same concept which will release next year called Auto RiskRisk.

I'm curious to know if you have ever tried any of those games.

The Google Store tried to update my Auto Risk Risk to Tournament of the Elements but it would never work, and now it says that it is installed, but it isn't. I would need to uninstall ARR to try TotE. Maybe I will some time, but not right now.

So your new game will be almost the same name as your old game just with no space between R&R?

I'll let you know what I think of TotE once I bring myself to uninstall ARR!

(+1)

Oh I see. I think I did name them the same internally which probably make Google Play confused. Sorry about that. TotE is the same as ARR only more developed. The new Auto RiskRisk is similar but there are some bigger changes to the gameplay. More focus on equipment and placement etc.

Just had my most convincing win. In the final round I didn't lose a player and wiped the other team out.ARR1

OP

I am still playing this all the time. It is pretty easy to beat in a variety of ways now but there is one bug which makes the computer teams OP. The staff.

If just one character on a conputer team has a staff, every member can heal. Sometimes a team with no staff will still heal.

This actually makes the game more challenging, which is good, but it is a bit unfair when I need 3 staffs to get the same effect.

I downloaded the android version and after a shaky start understanding the game mechanics, I now love it. There are a couple of errors, one is that if you don't rank first, you need to exit the app to play again. Also, sometimes once AI players are killed off you are still matched against them but they are called GHOST. Although I haven't lost a ghost match (maybe you can't?) I would feel cheated if I lost to a defeated player.

Anyway, great game. I am now going to download all your other games. Keep up the good work :)

I did lose to some Ghosts, but I have mastered my setup now. 6 green, 2 lord, 2 fang, 1 teacher and I can get a flawless victory with a little luck.

Fun game. It would be nicer if you could get XP from playing to improve the starting stats of characters, then have higher brackets for more difficult matches. Not just cheating AI, but realistically more difficult.
